Description

The Sourcing Manager will collaborate with engineering and operations teams to support new and ongoing programs. The Sourcing Manager will own key strategic supplier relationships which will include: RFQs, SOW development, pricing and contract negotiations, aligning of roadmaps, participating in the sales & operations planning process, and analyzing spend. A successful candidate for this role is one who is highly motivated, high energy and an experienced professional who thrives working at all levels of the organization.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Develops and maintains key supplier relationships to create a flexible and trusted supply
  • Develops Sourcing strategies for key commodities and suppliers
  • Conduct spend analysis to identify significant cost optimization opportunities
  • Align technology and product roadmaps with Key Strategic suppliers
  • Implement corresponding sourcing plans to capture identified cost optimization opportunities, measures and tracks results
  • Interface with Engineering leadership to ensure the implementation of critical strategic technologies with key strategic suppliers
  • Engage in new supplier evaluation and selection, contract negotiations, and supplier performance evaluation
  • Required to have a strong comfort-level communicating throughout all levels of the organization
  • Understand, support and execute all work according to the established procedures of the organization
  • Participates as key contributor to develop and maintain key department policies and processes
  • Other Duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 7+ years of strategic sourcing or procurement; or 3+ years and a master’s degree; ; or equivalent work experience in the procurement and sourcing field in multi-divisional, global environment, preferably within consumer electronics industry
  • CPM (Certified Purchasing Manager) or equivalent desirable
  • Experience using Microsoft applications (i.e., Excel, Word, PPT, etc.).
  • ERP experience, NetSuite knowledge preferred

  • Excellent analytical and project management skills
  • Knowledge of supplier contracts, product conformity, quality toolbox, and problem-solving methodologies
  • Ability to articulate, influence, translate and implement strategic initiatives
  • Skills in cost optimization and bidding techniques to maximize value
  • Knowledge of purchasing techniques including strategic supplier concepts
  • Strong relationship management skills
  • Excellent organizational and analytical skills, highly motivated and able to work under pressure
  • Willingness, enthusiasm and aptitude for driving change and improvement
  • Strong written communication and verbal skills
  • Proven ability to multi-task, set project priorities, establish department/discipline goals and objectives for self
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Positive attitude, self-motivated and eager to succeed
