The HDDC Project Manager will plan, estimate cost, oversee, and document all aspects of the Design projects they are working on. Projects include renovations, remodels, and design updates. The HDDC Project Manager will work closely with the Designers to make sure that the scope and direction of each project is meeting the customer's needs. They set expectations for the project to ensure it is completed in accordance with established quality standards and time frames and schedule the delivery for each phase of the project. The HDDC Project Manager schedules and coordinates various internal and external resources (contractors, etc.) to complete the project. Throughout the project, progress is reported to management, designers and customers. Additionally, they are responsible for customer satisfaction through the first-point of contact to the end of the project.
MAJOR TASKS, RESPONSIBILITES AND KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
60% Project Management
-Manages multiple projects from start to finish for customers by working with various associates within the organization
-Create work orders and set the project work schedule
-Estimates new projects and bids out new jobs
-Develop quality standards and seek continuous quality improvement
-Manages project scope and timeline
-Oversees project cost and billing while monitoring profitability
-Ensures project stays on timeline by scheduling consistent update meetings with key project partners
-Reports on project success criteria results, metrics, test
-Ensures quality of products before, during, and after installation
-Manages ongoing quality control and participate in quality issue resolution
-Manages project changes by making adjustments accordingly to ensure projects stay on track
-Provides regular, on-site leadership for projects to include overseeing sub-contractors
40% Customer Service
-Responds to customer-related questions about the project scope and timeline
-Communicates estimates and detailed project plan for all phases of the project
-Provides customers with status regarding project milestones, deliverable, and potential issues with a sense of urgency
-Functions as the main client contact during the delivery and install of the project, both written and verbal communication
NATURE AND SCOPE
-Reports to the Manager Field Ops
-Does not manage direct reports but may mentor and develop others
ENVIRONMENTAL JOB REQUIREMENTS
Typically in a comfortable environment but with regular exposure to factors such as temperature extremes, moving machinery, loud noise, and fumes which cause noticeable discomfort or a moderate risk of accident or illness.
Typically requires overnight travel more than 50% of the time.
Additional Environmental Job Requirements:
Must be eighteen years of age or older.
Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.
Additional Minimum Qualifications:
-Must have reliable transportation to travel to the job site
The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a high school diplomas and/or GED.
Years of Relevant Work Experience: 2 years
Must continuously stand or walk or regularly requires lifting/handling/carrying material or equipment of moderate weight (8-20 pounds).
-3+ years of relevant work experience (project management in general construction, remodeling, renovation, etc.)
-Bachelors' degree in related field of study
-Certification as a project management professional (PMP) or construction project management highly preferred
-Skill in following-up with customers to ensure needs are met
-Expert project management skills including planning and organizational skills
-Ability to work in a fast paced environment
-Ability to stay within a budget, analyzing and drawing conclusions, decisiveness, dispute/conflict resolution, process compliance and customer driven
-Knowledge of engineering, architecture, information technology or a related area
-Ability to work independently
-Ability to read blueprints
