Position Summary:

The Sr Business Systems Analyst will serve as a critical resource on the GIS Commercial team for project implementation and ongoing support of Illumina’s global Zuora and Salesforce systems.This role is responsible to provide deep technical knowledge of the Zuora and Salesforce (SFDC) platforms in order to 1) implement strategic initiatives and 2) provide hands-on application support, partnering with GIS team members, business stakeholders and vendor resources.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with GIS and business teams to design application solutions by analyzing functional requirements, studying and creatively leveraging standard Zuora and SFDC capabilities, proposing configuration specifications, and configuring applications
  • Manage and administer the cloud hosted Zuora platform to include configurations, new products and reporting within a sandbox and production environment
  • Work with business, IT and end users to gather, understand, and define business requirements for Zuora and SFDC or other related platforms
  • Develop user stories and to-be process flows to support the design and development of Salesforce and Zuora solutions
  • Manage configuration changes within Zuora and maintain appropriate documentation
  • Maintain report templates while having the ability to build net-new reports within Zuora
  • Lead cross-functional team members in the implementation of strategic projects and enhancements from requirements gathering through deployment and post-production support
  • Manage multiple priorities and stakeholder expectations
  • Maintain active communication with stakeholders to manage expectations regarding changes to the system and the introduction of new and enhanced functionality
  • Play an active role in operational readiness testing for application systems, performing hands-on testing and coordinating UAT
  • Assess change impacts prior to change deployment
  • Own and resolve application issues, engaging additional technical or functional resources as necessary
  • Monitor and resolve system integrity issues
  • Analyze problems, diagnose them and find root cause, and then either create a fix or partner with a team to collaboratively design a solution
  • Recreate steps taken by user to locate source problems
  • Proactively analyze incident records and use data to identify problems
  • Identify and propose approaches to increase usability
  • Stay abreast of Zuora and SFDC applications development and new technologies

Requirements:

  • At least 5 years of experience acting as an administrator and/or supporting and interfacing the Zuora platform
  • Salesforce or similar CRM product configuration and/or implementation experience
  • Experience writing detailed specifications of user requirements, business processes, and procedures required to develop and implement software solutions
  • Ability to effectively communicate technical issues and solutions to business partners, verbally and in writing
  • Ability to troubleshoot and solve technical problems
  • Hands-on person with exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to address problems logically, carefully, and methodically
  • Persistence to pursue problems until they are solved, but also the good judgment to know when to stop and ask questions
  • Experience with translating functional requirements into configuration specifications
  • Ability to create and execute test plans
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong collaboration skills with global workforce
  • Ability to interface well with cross-functional teammates

Education:

BS/BA in Computer Science / Business Administration or equivalent work experience in related field
