Illumina is looking for a Talent Acquisition Specialist to join our team. We’re looking for someone who won’t just be filling requisitions. You will be the face of Illumina for our candidates, and responsible for helping us build our brand, facilitate our hiring process, and create an exceptional candidate and hiring team experience. You’ll be partnering with our hiring teams and the team of recruiters to help ensure that Illumina continues to hire exceptional and innovative talent so that we can drive our mission forward.

o Operates as a Talent Advisor, partnering with the business to drive all aspects of the full-cycle recruitment process focusing on technical roles in Software, AI, Engineering and Bioinformatics

o Prepares for and conducts intake meeting with strong understanding of talent landscape, analytics and recommendations for talent strategy

o Collaborates with Hiring Manager on a complete and logical sourcing strategy/plan

o Ensures a high level of candidate engagement and positive candidate experience

o Drives and influences the candidate assessment and selection process with the greater hiring team

o Maintains strong pipeline of qualified candidates and cultivates strong network of passive talent

o Anticipates and proactively communicates recruiting activity and status to Hiring Managers and Business Partners

o Leverages technology and tools to maximize candidate quality and personal productivity

o Influence and improves recruiting process and metrics


o Typically requires a minimum of 5+ years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree

o Scientific recruiting experience strongly preferred

o Experience with Workday Recruiting preferred

o Proficient computer skills and knowledge of Word, Excel, and Outlook required

o Excellent sourcing techniques including Linkedin, Google, ATS mining, etc.

o Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
