Summary: The Supply Chain Program Manager be the key interface between Supply Chain and all other cross-functional teams to strategically source and ensure a strong supply strategy for NSC. The Supply Chain Program Manager will manage assigned programs to launch critical new products on time, with superior product quality and maximum customer availability, into a standard contract manufacturing (CM) environment for consumer and/or OEM channels. This position is NPI and strategic supply chain solution focused and is critical to the fast-paced development and launch of Nortek’s products.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Required to have a strong comfort-level communicating throughout all levels of the organization
  • Understand, support and execute all work according to the established procedures of the organization
  • Leading cross-functional team(s) in planning and executing development builds and new product ramp ups - per required functionality and within cost and schedule targets
  • Driving ramp up readiness with engineering, operations and contract manufacturer teams
  • Ensuring the complete documentation of new products including the BOM, assembly drawings and test requirements
  • Working knowledge of QAD or similar ERP systems
  • Work with manufacturers for component readiness to ensure part availability, quality, and cost to support product goals
  • Communicating system requirements and schedules to facilitate technical readiness
  • Works with the contract manufacturing (CM) partners, influences product manufacturability (DfM), testability (DfT), and supply chain responsiveness to achieve cost targets and flexibility while maintaining product quality
  • Responsible for achieving cost targets for new products through collaboration with strategic sourcing, manufacturing and the product development team. Performs product cost analysis requiring the ability to assess product BOMs and use analysis tools based on MS Excel. Responsible for resolving discrepancies between cost targets and quoted costs
  • Serves as the point of contact to the engineering and product development team to confirm supplier readiness in terms of production capacity and approved critical parts manufacturing prior to key product milestones
  • Other Duties as assigned


  • Minimum of 8 years experience with a Bachelor’s or 4 years with a Master’s degree or a PhD with 3 years experience in related experience in Supply Chain, Purchasing & Vendor Management, NPI Operations Management with offshore contract manufacturing - preferably in China and Mexico
  • Experience in manufacturing to aid in analyzing supply strategies, cost negotiations and mitigate risk a plus
  • Prior experience with product lifecycle management is preferred
  • Advanced experience using Microsoft applications (i.e., Excel, Word, PPT, etc.).
  • Experience with NPI, Quoting, and Cost Management
  • Experience working with Agile PLM or Arena, NetSuite, highly proficient with Excel, Power Point, Project and related Microsoft Products
  • Working knowledge of ERP system must
