Job Overview:

The Investment Oversight Manager is responsible for overseeing the Private Trust Company's exercise of investment discretion and ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, including prudent investor statutes and OCC Regulation 9.

Responsibilities:

  • Owns the initial and annual Regulation 9 investment review program
  • Performs initial and on-going due diligence on delegated outside investment advisors
  • Oversees exercise of investment discretion for non-delegated accounts
  • Manages the unique and hard to values assets team, including real estate and closely held business
  • Chairs the Trust Investment Committee
  • Ensures consistency in adherence and application of investment policy and procedures and remains aware of any changes in areas of risk and compliance that would result in a necessary change in policy
  • Identifies and controls potential investment related conflicts of interest
  • Refines data analytics and metrics reporting, maintains dashboard reporting and owns in-business controls for the investment function
  • Business lead on the coordination and oversight of investment management responses provided for compliance testing, internal audits and OCC and other regulatory exams
  • Develops and maintains the investment policy statement and other investment forms and documents
  • Provides ongoing technical training program for investment colleagues
  • Serves as investment SME for PTC and enterprise projects and strategic initiatives
  • In partnership with Legal and other lines of defense, monitors, advises and helps resolve litigation, client complaints and account servicing losses related to investments
  • Independently identify and resolve exceptions and issues

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 10+  years experience in the financial industry
  • 5+ years in an OCC regulated bank

Preferences:

  • Certified Trust and Fiduciary Advisor or Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA)
  • Experience managing a two to three person team


 

Pay Range:

$80,720-$121,080/year


 

Actual base salary varies based on factors, including but not limited to, relevant skill, prior experience, education, base salary of internal peers, demonstrated performance, and geographic location.
