We are looking for a Facilities Maintenance Technician 2 to be responsible for the maintenance of site facilities equipment to include but not limited to mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC&R and painting operations. This will be a 2nd shift position: M-F 1pm-9pm Responsibilities: Perform Paint mixing, tinting, and matching colors. Proper methods of preparing various surfaces for painting and finishing. Plan, lay out, and perform difficult painting work in multiple environments. Mix, tint, and match paints and enamels as required. Tools, equipment, and materials used in painting. Orders and stocks supplies, spare parts, equipment and painting materials/supplies. Use communication skills to effectively resolve problems with technical personnel including department managers, supervisors, and outside technical support. Collaborate with employees and contractors to ensure efficient completion of assigned tasks and projects. Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of work areas, including the workshop following good housekeeping practices consistently. Travels between facilities to support all functional areas. Regular and reliable attendance on a full-time basis. Respond to after-hour security calls. Perform other duties as assigned. Perform read-only monitoring functions and basic operating functions for the Building Management System (BMS). Ability to support installation, startup, and commissioning of Capital Projects. Maintains facilities equipment in use-ready state. Major equipment includes chiller systems; air handler units, cooling towers, Variable Refrigerant Flow VRF, refrigeration and heating systems; all equipment pertaining to each system, vacuum condensate return systems, control valves relating to: pressure reducing stations, radiators, heating coils, convectors, unit heaters and boiler controls, heat exchangers for heating, domestic and industrial hot water, cold rooms, dehumidifiers, humidifiers and roof top package units, commercial splits systems, vacuum pumps, compressed air, RODI units, fire alarm, sprinkler, diesel generators and elevators. Requirements: Ability to utilize multiple painting techniques (brush and spray) as required in labs, conference rooms, general areas, breakrooms, manufacturing areas and controlled environments. Advance techniques on multiple uses of patching and paints of epoxy, varnishes, enamels, and shellacs, including mixing and blending. Ability to continually learn through on-the-job training, independent training, and research. Intermediate mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills. Ability to read and understand equipment schematics. Responsible for exhibiting professional behavior with both internal and external business associates that reflect positively on the company and is consistent with the company's policies and practices. Ability to bend, climb, squat, reach, kneel, lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds. Keep accurate work records and follow Good Document Practices – GDP and Good Manufacturing Practices - GMP. Willing to work overtime and/or support unplanned activities. Team player, hard worker, good interpersonal skills, ability to communicate well in both oral and written reports. Physically able to operate electric hand tools, work on a ladder, carry tools, lift, and carry heavy loads, operate required equipment. Able to work in close places such as closets, crawl spaces, attics, vaults, etc. Ability to work after hours, over weekends and on public holidays with short or no notice. Intermediate plumbing experience to include but not limited to assemble, install and repair drainpipes, fittings and fixtures of drainage systems in light commercial and industrial applications required. Minimum of 2 years of facilities maintenance experience required. Minimum of 2 years of cGMP experience required. The estimated base hourly range for the Maintenance Technician 2 role based in the United States of America is: $22.59 - $33.84. Should the level or location of the role change during the hiring process, the applicable base pay range may be updated accordingly. Compensation decisions are dependent on several factors including, but not limited to, an individual’s qualifications, location where the role is to be performed, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
