Senior Regional Segment Marketing Manager Remote Based in France As the lead Illumina representative for Marketing in France, the Senior Regional Segment Marketing Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing marketing strategies, planning activities associated with key market opportunities, and actively managing the market development strategies for this country. This role is full time and remote based in France, on occasions, you will need to easily access and visit our Paris solutions centre as well as travelling regularly to customers within the region. Why you As our Senior Regional Segment Marketing Manager, you will provide technical and strategic understanding of Illumina value proposition and portfolio to assist with customer interaction, market strategies, pipeline acceleration and sales training. You will need to be fluent in both English and French. With this role you will be significantly contributing to pre-sales activities for Illumina platforms by organizing and executing strategic and tactical marketing plans and provide regular reports on market trends and competitor initiatives. Scope of Responsibilities Represents France during the development of the annual Europe marketing plans. Provides input on local markets, needs, opportunities and KOL interactions Works closely with local sales teams to execute on tactical marketing plan for ILMNs portfolio with additional responsibilities in focus segment areas Contributes to creation of impactful presentations for local seminars, workshops, tradeshows and conferences Runs events, tradeshows, conferences, seminars with support of the Demand Generation Team Provides detailed Voice-of-customer back to Illumina’s product marketing teams in San Diego Regionalize product launches of new Illumina products and solutions to fit local market needs and trends Helps to develop high value customer relationships in the country in collaboration with the Sales and Support teams. Contributes to collaborations/strategic projects with Key Opinion Leaders for new products or applications development. Drives the creation of local sales collateral (e.g. iCommunity articles, Application Notes, Success stories, customer testimonials etc) in collaboration with the Europe Programs team. Assists with closing technical/competitive sales opportunities by providing domain expertise, competitive positioning and relevant scientific arguments. Tracks competitive placements and contributes to quarterly market share and win/loss reports Provides intelligence regarding funding opportunities in the country and shares with the local sales team and the wider Europe Regional Marketing team Contributes to Market Development projects and represents country in Europe initiatives. Preferred background, skills and experience Extensive experience in a Life Science or diagnostics sales, marketing or business development role (or equivalent) Strong background or experience in molecular biology and genomics market is required Experience in genomics applications and the use of Next Generation Sequencing is an advantage Well developed professional and strategic thinking skills with proven ability to develop and grow customer relationships through networking at all levels of the customer account Excellent time management, organizational and communication skills Proactive, results driven team player with exceptional interpersonal skills Detail, action and customer oriented individual Preferred Educational Background BA/BS, MS degree and/or PhD in Life Sciences.
