Software Developer

We are seeking a skilled Software Engineer to serve as a C2 (Command and Control) Software Developer within our cutting-edge defense and mission systems division. This role will work directly under the C2 Integration Development Lead, supporting the integration, development, and enhancement of Command and Control capabilities. The ideal candidate will have a strong software engineering background, excellent problem-solving abilities, and experience working on complex systems within agile development environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, test, and maintain C2 software components in alignment with project and mission requirements.
  
• Support integration of new and existing capabilities into operational C2 systems.
  
• Collaborate with the C2 Integration Development Lead and cross-functional teams to ensure seamless interoperability across platforms.
  
• Write and maintain clear, concise documentation for software modules and interfaces.
  
• Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and technical discussions.
  
• Troubleshoot software issues and support debugging efforts in development and test environments.
  
• Ensure all software meets performance, reliability, and security standards.
  
• Stay current with evolving technologies and recommend improvements to existing architectures.

Qualifications

• TYPICAL EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelors and five (5) years or more experience; Masters and three (3) years or more experience; PhD and 0 years related experience.
  
• U.S. Citizenship and an active DOD secret clearance, with the ability to obtain a Top Secret Clearance.

Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related discipline.
  
• 3+ years of experience in software development, ideally within defense, aerospace, or C2 systems.
  
• Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Java, C++, or Python.
  
• Strong understanding of software development lifecycle, version control, and agile methodologies.
  
• Experience with system integration, message handling, and data exchange protocols.
  
• Security clearance or eligibility to obtain one (e.g., Secret or Top Secret).

Preferred:

• Familiarity with C2 systems such as AF C2, GCCS, or other tactical/military platforms.
  
• Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), microservices, or cloud-based architectures.
  
• Knowledge of DevSecOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
  
• Understanding of cybersecurity principles and secure coding practices.
  
• Experience working in cross-functional and geographically distributed teams.
