ASSIGNMENT DETAILS
- Duration: This assignment will run for approximately 3-4 Months.
- Compensation and Benefits: $28.88/hr, including paid holidays and vacation/sick leave. Full-medical insurance may also be available.
- Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 6:30am-3:00pm or 8:30am-5:00pm. Some weekends may be required.
- Location: This position will be located in La Jolla.
DESCRIPTION
TES has a current opening for an lab assistant. The lab assistant will utilize a wide array of knowledge, technical skills and critical-thinking abilities to facilitate teaching, research projects, and labs.
Job Duties:
- Set-up and clean up of labs, equipment, and supplies.
- Ordering supplies and maintaining equipment.
- Liaise with surgeons and industry personnel.
- Assist in pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative care of animals.
- Assist with multiple surgical procedures.
- Assist lab attendees on cadaver and animal labs, with and without robotics.
- Liaise with industry personnel to understand equipment needs and plan labs.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Ability to independently develop, follow, and troubleshoot established lab protocols and procedures.
- Proficient with PC and/or Mac operation, and various software applications including MS Office (Word, Excel).
- Experience in equipment management and inventory.
- Knowledge of surgical skills on a variety of species.
- Demonstrated experience with anesthetic techniques, monitoring, and a wide-range of anesthetic/analgesic regiments of varying species.

Annual Full Pay Range: $60,301 - $97,008 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%)
Hourly Equivalent: $28.88 - $46.46
