Applications Liaison Professionals, We Want You!

The Northrop Grumman Chief Information & Digital Office (CDIO) is seeking an experienced User Application Liaison to join our team. The successful employee will become a part of the Northrop Grumman Space Systems sector's Program Management Office.

This position may be located at either our San Diego, or Commerce, California campus.

NOTE- this position does not offer any virtual or telecommute working options. Applicants are encouraged to apply, only if they are willing to work on-site.

A User Application Liaison Interfaces between systems analysts/programmers and users located in a specialized area to ensure that information technology designs meet the needs of the end users within an organization. Documents product/service requirements and develops test procedures to ensure user requests are carried out. Requires general-logic knowledge of system capabilities without necessarily the ability to program.

Primary Responsibilities: 

  • Act as Liaison between BU and Enterprise Application teams
  • Drive analytical data implementations in Teamcenter
  • Provide client side application installations, configuration changes, general maintenance and monitoring (Microsoft Windows environment)
  • Create and maintain user accounts on various software platforms and websites, including Teamcenter PLM
  • Troubleshoot software installation and/or connection issues (NX, SolidWorks, CREO, Etc.)
  • Create and maintain documentation and Best Practice documents, and/or perform basic user training
  • Perform testing of new functionality/configuration changes to assure defect free implementations of software
  • Create necessary documentation around new projects both for administrator and end user

This requisition may be filled at either level 2, or level 3 (Principal level), based on qualifications listed below.

Basic Qualifications (for level 2):

  • Master’s degree and zero (0) years of relevant technical experience in Engineering or Information Technology; OR a Bachelor's degree and two (2) years of relevant technical experience in Engineering or Information Technology; OR an Associates degree and four (4) years of relevant technical experience in Engineering or Information Technology; OR a High School Diploma/GED and a minimum of six (6) years of relevant technical experience in Engineering or Information Technology may be considered in lieu of a formal degree
  • Must have experience with Siemens Teamcenter PLM
  • Experience with Siemens CAD installations, specifically customer defaults configuration, start parts, drafting templates, and pax files
  • Experience installing and uninstall multiple types of software in a Microsoft Windows environment, including Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel, is required
  • Must have experience with creating and editing batch files, PowerShell scripts, xml files

  • Master’s degree and three (3) years of relevant technical experience in Engineering or Information Technology; OR a Bachelor's degree and five (5) years of relevant technical experience in Engineering or Information Technology; OR an Associates degree and sever (7) years of relevant technical experience in Engineering or Information Technology; OR a High School Diploma/GED and a minimum of nine (9) years of relevant technical experience in Engineering or Information Technology may be considered in lieu of a formal degree
  • Experience with Siemens Teamcenter PLM
  • Experience with Siemens NX installations; specifically customer defaults configuration, start parts, drafting templates, and pax files
  • Experience installing and uninstall multiple types of software in a Microsoft Windows environment, including Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel, is required
  • Experience with creating and editing batch files, PowerShell scripts, xml files, etc.
  • Experience with Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • The ideal candidate will have a Master’s degree in a STEM related discipline, and four (4) years of experience as an Applications liaison installing Siemens Teamcenter PLM and other PLM Systems (ePDM, Teamcenter, ENOVIA, Etc.)
  • Experience with CAD model, assembly, and drawing creation
  • Experience with NX drafting standards for both 2D drawings and 3D annotated models
  • Experience using and configuring workflows within the Teamcenter environment
  • Experience with M365 Power Automate platform
  • Must be a self-starter and able to work independently
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills

Salary Range: $81,300.00 - $121,900.00Salary Range 2: $100,300.00 - $150,500.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.The application period for the job is estimated to be 20 days from the job posting date.
