Description

The Senior Product Manager leads product strategy for the company’s Audio / Speaker products and is responsible for defining the overall product and brand portfolio strategy, leading the product management function during development of new products, defining the go to market strategies, and managing the lifecycle of products already in the market. The Senior Product Manager has a detailed and in depth knowledge of speaker technologies and audio distribution products and protocols.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Be the primary evangelist for Audio products with internal stakeholders, customers, and partners
  • Represent the company at industry, customer and partner events
  • Serve as the subject matter expert in knowledge of market and competitive product trends
  • Present regular market analyses to the leadership team
  • Develop the Audio products strategy for Nortek’s audio brands
  • Develop market and product requirements for new Audio products
  • Lead the product management function in collaboration with Engineering and Operations during the development of new products
  • Lead the product management function in collaboration with Marketing and Sales to define the go to market strategies for the Audio products, and to maximize our opportunities to grow market share
  • Manage the lifecycle of products already in the market
  • Collaborate with Sales & Operations to manage forecasts and product inventory levels throughout the product lifecycle
  • Ensures all department projects, initiatives, and processes are in conformance with organization's established policies and objectives.
  • Implements and maintains department policies and standards.
  • Other Duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required, Masters degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years related experience with Audio products including: Speakers, Amplifiers, Subwoofers,
  • Minimum of 5 years related experience with audio in the Custom Installation (CI) market
  • Must have detailed and in depth knowledge of speaker and audio distribution products and protocols
  • Advanced skills using Microsoft applications (i.e., Excel, Word, PPT, etc.).
  • Travel up to 25% of the time
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures and government regulations
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, customers, suppliers and vendors
