Let's Talk About Responsibilities:
As a Cloud Security Engineering Intern, you will work directly with talented mentors. With guidance from a departmental leader, you will improve cloud security by implementing and optimizing tools tailored to our cloud environment.
The right candidate for our internship will know commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within the information technology and computer science space and rely on mentorship, instructions, and pre-established guidelines to perform the job's functions. While this position requires the ability to read/write/debug/delete code, you will not spend all your time writing code. To contribute high-quality code and deliverables, you should expect to spend time learning, exploring enterprise tools, researching, designing, reading/writing documentation, and asking questions.
This position is a hybrid role, or a remote role, located at our ResMed headquarters in San Diego, CA. Candidates will participate in team meetings.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skill/Experience):
- Ability to work full-time for 12 weeks during Summer 2024: program dates are May 20, 2024 – August 9, 2024, OR June 17, 2024 – September 6, 2024
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field
- Knowledge regarding cybersecurity, information security, or cloud computing
- Proficient in at least one interpreted or compiled language
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- Proactive problem solver who works independently between meetings
- Hands-on experience through projects, research, or similar internships
- Team player with the ability to communicate
- Experience in leadership roles (e.g., student/civic organization president)
- Enthusiastic interest in the medical technology industry and a career with ResMed
