The Training and Development Sr. Manager will manage and lead a group of trainers for the organization to guide and educate employees and customers on Nortek Control’s product portfolio and sales value-added proposition. This position will ensure employees and external partners reach their highest potential by providing training that offers opportunities to develop skills, enhance productivity, promote Nortek Control products, and builds loyalty to the organization as it relates to product & sales training.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Develop training program goals and desired outcomes, manage content and delivery to meet those goals
  • Conduct ongoing gap assessments to measure the current state of the intended audience against goals
  • Gather and analyze training audience input and feedback to measure satisfaction with training and progress toward program goals
  • Manage and mentor a group of trainers
  • Determine training requirements by studying sales and marketing strategic plans and current sales results; conferring with sales executives; reviewing results of trainer coaching; evaluating training effectiveness
  • Assist senior management with creating and reviewing certified training programs that comply with federal and state training programs
  • Ensure Training & Development website is always up to date and reflects the current product line and promotions
  • Work closely with the Marketing team to manage the overall visual and esthetic of the site, ensuring cohesion with various promotions
  • Achieve sales training operational objectives by preparing and completing action plans; implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving problems; completing audits; identifying trends; recommend sales training system improvements; implementing change
  • Manage the LMS program
  • Confer with management and conduct surveys to identify training needs based on projected production processes, changes, and other factors
  • Other Duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree with a minimum 8 years related experience; or Master’s degree with 6 years’ relevant experience; or advanced degree with 4 years of relevant experience or equivalent work experience
  • At least 5 years’ experience managing and leading a team
  • At least 5 years’ experience in corporate training and management
  • Proven experience in presenting and facilitating training classes
  • Experience in principles and methods for curriculum and training design, teaching and instruction for individuals and groups, and the measurement of training effects
  • Knowledge of Adult Learning Theory and ability to execute
  • Strong experience using Microsoft applications (i.e., Excel, Word, PPT, etc.)
