Description
Lead and scale a global team responsible for IOT testing across 4G, 5G, VoLTE, VoNR and other emerging wireless technologies. Own the strategy and execution of IOT testing with infrastructure vendors. Drive collaboration across cross-functional teams in Hardware and Software engineering to ensure timely support of new Apple chipset features, carrier launches and software releases. Establish detailed test plans, coverage matrices and success criteria aligned with 3GPP standards, Apple requirements and carrier expectations. Act as a key decision-maker during issue triage, prioritization and escalations. Coach and mentor technical leads and managers.
Minimum Qualifications
MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
10+ years of experience in wireless communications with at least 4+ years in a leadership role managing modem or carrier testing teams.
Deep expertise in 3GPP protocols (LTE, NR, IMS), cellular call flows and log analysis tools.
Proven ability to work with mobile infra vendors and operators and navigate multi-vendor environments
Strong project management skills with experience delivering against tight schedules and dynamic requirements.
Experience with data-driven decision-making, test automation frameworks and quality metrics
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with modem validation, protocol stack debugging and/or baseband development.
Familiarity with Apple’s ecosystem, iOS testing tools and internal development workflows.
Previous experience leading multi-site or global team
Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Pay & Benefits
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $181,000 and $313,000, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
